An Unlawful Assembly
An Unlawful Assembly (2016) is a stylistically-devised work where corporeal Blackness is explored through spoken word, dance, and scholarship. Part open mic, part-site based dance immersion, part juke joint, and all theatre. An Unlawful Assembly gathers Black bodies, minds, and aesthetics to explore the history of Black Art throughout the 20th Century.
